It all started when…

FILMOTECHNIC was founded in 1990 by Sci-tech Academy Awards Winner Mr.Anatoliy Kokush who has a longstanding engineering experience in the field of camera technologies.

Filmotechnic is one of the leading providers of a comprehensive line of camera equipment on the market. Our company is a forerunner in the research and development of camera technologies to meet the challenges of new areas of advancement in the Film and TV industries.

Our most famous products that have a proven history of use are lightweight modular camera cranes Cascade and Traveling Cascade, gyrostabilized remote systems Flight Head, gyrostabilized camera cranes Russian Arm and others. Filmotechnic’s equipment holds numerous international patents and inventor’s certificates.

Filmotechnic is very proud to have a highly qualified technical and scientific personnel that is specialized in various branches of science and engineering. For many years our company has been producing and supplying camera remote systems to various customers all over the world, for producing of motion pictures, music videos and commercials.

OSCAR AWARDS

For one night a year, the brightest stars in Hollywood aren´t spoiled starlets or megalomanaical directors. They are the scientists and engineers who create the technology that underlies all of modern filmmaking. On February 18, the Academy presented the 78th Annual Scientific and Engineering Awards to these worthy inventors.

Anatoliy Kokush, Yuriy Popovsky and Oleksiy Zolotarov for the concept and development of the Russian Arm gyro-stabilized camera crane and the Flight Head. The Russian Arm and Flight Head opened new possibilities for filmmakers. With the ability to be mounted on the roof of almost any car, this remotely-operated crane and camera head can move smoothly in a 360 ° circle around the car, even while it is being driven at high speeds by actors, creating heretofore impossible perspectives.

Anatoliy Kokush for the concept and development of the Cascade series of motion picture cranes. The lightweight structure of the Cascade and Traveling Cascade Cranes enables the filmmaker to achieve heights of up to 70 feet, allowing for the placement of the camera in otherwise impossible locations.

CINEC AWARD

One highlight of cinec is the cinecAward, which is awarded in six different categories. The award is presented by the Bavarian Society for the Advancement of Film Technology (FGF), and awarded to innovative and trendsetting products and developments of the Motion Picture Technology.

The Cinec Award comprises a certificate and a statue which is inspired by the Munich symbol “Bavaria”.
